A l'Emeraude was founded in 1909. It is one of the oldest watch and jewellery shops in the famous Place St-François in the very heart of Lausanne, and has always been in family ownership. It is one of the only shops in the square where you will be greeted by a qualified watchmaker, or horologist. Another watchmaker specializing in collector’s wristwatches and pocket watches will see to any repairs that are needed. A l'Emeraude is a business where they do much more than sell you a watch. In fact, alongside Patrick Cremers and his wife Marina, owners of the premises, a highly enthusiastic and qualified team will be totally concerned to advise you dispassionately which watch is preferable to another for you, to tell you the history of a model, to talk about a specific make, to outline the precise characteristics of a quality brand, or to impart their knowledge by explaining a mechanical movement. When you return to A l'Emeraude, you will receive a warm and individual welcome in a very special little world dedicated to fine watchmaking, jewellery and anything that goes with them. This is a visit you must not miss!
