Founded at the end of the 1980s, Scatola del Tempo was the outcome of a watch collector’s enthusiasm. It was the first firm to make winding-mechanisms for watches in the 1990s. The aim was not only to make automatic movements function continuously but mainly automatic movements with complications such as perpetual calendars because, once they stopped, they needed precise and quite complex adjustment for the owners of these magnificent timekeepers. Therefore these winding-mechanisms represented something of a revolution at that time, and also a relief. Since then, Scatola del Tempo has acquired considerable expertise over the years and, with a design quite specific to the firm, is constantly trying to improve the quality of its models.
